Description

FlavrBurstTM is a new variety (KV000398, plant patent applied for) introduced by Dr. Ralph Scorza, USDA-ARS in Kearneysville, WV. This peach has consistently shown great size and a beautiful red color on a yellow background. Perhaps FlavrBurst's most favorable quality is its exceptional flavor, exhibiting a sound balance of acid and sugar. This is a firm, melting-flesh, freestone, yellow-fleshed peach. The tree is very productive and crops annually. May be somewhat susceptible to bacterial spot and should be trialed before planted heavily where bacterial spot is a serious problem. From Adams County Nursery.
